IIChE student Chapter

•             Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers was started in May, 1947 in Jadavpur University, Kolkata with 30 members which was then increased to 15000. IIChE has 33 Regional Centres and 58 Student Chapters to spread its activities all over the country. To avail the benefits of this, there are specific guidelines for the formation of student chapter at regional level. IIChE students chapter has its own objectives and activities to perform.

About IIChE Student Chapter at Chemical Engineering Department, GEC, Valsad.

•             Chemical Engineering Department started IIChE Student Chapter on 1 st October 2019 with more than 48 members including students and faculties. The formed student chapter is also in contact with about 57 IIChE members working in industry at Vapi regional centre. Meetings are organized regularly with industry members and academic faculties to plan various activities. In connection with the IIChE main body and other members, the students chapter performs various activities like plant visits, expert lectures, seminars etc. to improve knowledge of students. It also helps students for career choice, planning and placement.
